History
Terra Bella Non Profit Housing Corporation was originally the 2nd building to an affordable housing development on Dundas St. called Terra Nova Seniors Building. Construction of Terra Bella started in July 1988 with occupancy beginning in May 1990. Terra Bella was the first large scale development of the old Massey Ferguson manufacturing complex. This historic site occupied several acres and was bounded on the north side by King Street West, on the south side by the Grand Trunk / Canadian National railway lines, and on the east by Massey Street. Terra Bella was originally mandated to provide lower income Portuguese families with affordable housing. However, within 5 years of its opening, the Corporation was serving many of Canada’s new Canadians and was thus soon transformed into a locale that was as culturally diverse as the City itself.
Vision
Terra Bella strives to provide affordable, sustainable, well-maintained and safe housing and services to residents and to foster a sense of community both within and beyond our building.
Mission
Terra Bella is dedicated to providing quality affordable housing and services to a diverse mix of tenant households.
Today
